Epis­co­pal con­se­cra­tion cel­e­bra­tion

On Sunday, 4 January 2026, at 5 pm, the anniversary of Bishop Johan Bonny's ordination will be celebrated during a festive thanksgiving service in the central nave of the cathedral. Mgr. Johan Bonny was consecrated bishop and appointed bishop of Antwerp exactly seventeen years ago (on 4 January 2009!). During this celebration, the Jubilee Year (Jubeljaar) 2025 will also be solemnly concluded. There will be no vespers or Sunday Music on that day.
